About WomanCare Global
WomanCare Global, an international nonprofit organization, was launched in 2009, to apply a mission-driven business approach to expand the availability and use of safe and high quality women’s healthcare technologies around the world. With a specific focus on the reproductive and family planning health concerns of those women most in need, WomanCare Global will identify innovative technologies and utilize existing broad distribution channels to promote sustainable access to these critical products. Woman Care Global recognizes that there are common and daunting challenges facing healthcare technology distribution which have resulted in many under-served markets. All too often, pharmaceutical and device manufacturers decide not to invest in low resource settings and therefore decades can elapse before innovations reach poor women, and when they do, prices are prohibitive.
WomanCare Global will focus on two objectives: Accessibility and Sustainability. We will increase accessibility by reaching women most in need with safe and effective reproductive health products, giving special attention to new and underutilized technologies. WomanCare Global will also move toward sustainability by becoming more efficient in our marketing and distribution of these products while ensuring low pricing for the public sector and affordable prices for the commercial sector. WomanCare Global will achieve these objectives by employing a strategic 3-pronged approach that will:
